Do You Have A Back Road I Need to Expore?

Allihies, Beara Peninsula, Ireland
Today I'd like to challenge you to drive those back roads!  Go ahead and take that "wrong" turn and find out what is waiting for you down road.  Check out the beautiful flowers that edged the road along this small back road in Ireland.  I never would have seen this view had a stayed on the fast-moving main direct road.  Slow life down and simply watch the fence posts go by one by one.  They truly become hypnotizing as you watch them pass like events throughout your life.  Learn to relax and daydream as you drive through these magical places...not so much you find the ditch or another car, of course.  It's even better when you are not the driver and you have a fellow adventurist that wants to drive and explore with you.  Record your views and feelings as you discover the places less traveled.

If you are an adventurist as I am I'd love to hear where you find your back roads.  Do you have a favorite that you'd like to share?  Please share your favorite places to zone out and get lost in the comment section below!

You just may find me on your back road next time you decide to get lost.

Okay, so I’ve been asked multiple times to write a blog about what it is I do in and out of the studio as an artist. As the new year started I decided I would give it a try. I enjoy writing, but you will have to forgive the mis-placed commas as that isn’t one of my strong suits. So let’s give this a try.

Now when it comes to pictures those I have and love sharing them. I think the world is full of many missed opportunities to see amazing colors, textures, stunning architecture and lots and lots of beautiful small vistas. Life moves so fast and technology keeps our heads down for far too long that we miss what the world has to offer. Let’s take “Herman” for example…had my husband I not been looking we would have missed him! He was actually above us as we drove through a country road that happened to be down below ground level due to years and years of use in the back roads of Ireland. I have to say with a face like that I would have been really sad to have missed it. He brings a smile to my face each and every morning as he is in my own private collection as he brings me many fond memories. I challenge you to keep your head up just a bit more today and notice those drive-by moments that you would normally miss. Let me know what you observed today that you might have otherwise missed.
